Dr. Seuss Day Means Something Else to Me..

Today is Read Across America AKA Dr. Seuss Day. This is a day that schools across our country teach various lessons from Dr. Seuss books. But Dr. Seuss Day means something much different to me...

Did you know that we lost Dr. Seuss to Cancer? This day reminds me of how we have lost some of the most prolific and incredible people from Cancer. As an avid reader, literature is important to my life. Reading has comforted me through many trials.

Cheers to Dr. Seuss. Thank you for inspiring so many young readers and bringing imagination into reality. I love this quote because every day in chemo (and every day after diagnosis), Cancer Survivors have to put one foot in front of the other and carry on.
