I was looking forward to my 40’s and having my children go off to college. My breasts where getting larger and and where very fibrous. My Dr and I decided just to be save to get a breast reduction. It took one year of fighting with insurance to get that done, In the tissue of that reduction they found Ductile Carcinoma. It was low and deep so I have a second opinion and all concluded that I needed a mastectomy. That was January 2000. I saw my kids grow to adults.. I was a success Executive in Resort Development and was moving forward. In 2010 I had just remarried and I felt a lump in my mastectomy breast, I just thought it was a cyst but it turned out to be Two different kinds of aggressive cancer, to add to the news in testing to see if it had spread they found that I had Thyroid cancer as well. This was a blow not only emotionally, phyically but financially as well. I will be 5 years free of Cancer in January 2016.
